How to calculate Income Tax

Hi Yvonne, i now understand how you deduct national insurance (NI) and income tax (IT) thanks to your vidoes, however what i cant seem to find out or get an understanding of is the tax presidence system. Do i deduct NI and then IT or visa versa. And if i deduct NI first, do i then use the new figures to then make the second calculation or is the second calculation all based on the same startng figures. Maybe there isnt a presidence, I dont know?
