Please forgive me for my dialect this video was a rush video for a client and I had to document this for future reference. In the event that you do not fully understand I will type below. Also the link will be below as well.

If you're ever having trouble wiring a three wire solenoid valve this video should help you better understand the proper wiring and how it helps prevent damaging equipment.

Three wires on Solenoid Valve
WHITE - Pull
RED - Hold
BLACK - Ground

The WHITE wire which is your Pull should connect to your ignition switch. The reason why it should come from your ignition switch because it only requires a split second of 12VDC to Pull in the valve itself. The WHITE wire should never have constant 12VDC it could result in damage to equipment to fuel solenoid valve, valve and draining of battery.

The RED wire which is your hold should connect to your fuel solenoid relay this would maintain the position that the valve is in unit the path is broken. This 12VDC should come from the fuel solenoid relay and no where else. Supplying the pull with constant 12VDC will result in the valve remaining in the same position which would not turn of the machinery.

The Black wire which is your negative/ground should be connect properly to ensure proper use.

To purchase this relay you can find them on
