Imagine being the best player a club has seen, becoming a staff member of that same club, forcing some great signings for a very small amount of money, helping the team win their first Scudetto in around 10 years, that team also reaching the UCL semifinal abd still being sacked. Damn

As a hardcore AC Milan supporter this was outrageous, Cardinale needs to step out NOW

That's BS. 35 mil is peanuts compared to the value of Maldini's presence and contribution towards the club. If Mun U had bought all these players (at the time AC Milan did, IK Man U played for Zlatan), they would've spent 250 mil+ EASILY.

He’s obviously jealous of Maldini and his fragile ego can’t handle it.
I hope they chase him and his entire family out of Milan.
What Maldini gave that club is immeasurable he should have an honoury job for life.

imagine serving a club from junior until be a technical director for over 35 years and then get sacked

Hold up, Maldini has signed a whole team of amazing/world class players for only 140m which some of those players are worth now and Maldini was their best and most loyal player in the clubs history and he has made 1 single signing for 35m which hasn’t worked out yet but still could considering the player is still very young yet they sacked him. That is fucking ridiculous

Truly a disgraceful decision. Don’t see this working out in any way because the fans didn’t want him gone either. besides, who are they gonna sign in that position? Maldini knows the club better then anyone and you see he still loves the club. This is plain sad for Milan fans. one of your all time greats quit football and the goat of your club gets sacked by a money hungry owner. I feel bad

If chelsea had bought those players they would have spent like 600m+ 💀

Maldini legacy is tied to Milan since the 50s. Father of Paolo, Cesare, was already a Milan legend.

I am a Real Madrid supporter so I have no ties to this club. However it also infuriated me when I heard of his sacking. He’s a legend in the game regardless of team you support

Too bad milan have an owner who does not understand either football nor business and is led by personal gain rather then personal succes

This man needs to have a statue on his name outside of san siro.. . Goat of defenders!

My respect for Cardinale 📉

Maldini is just irreplaceable. The greatest defender ever and one of the best footballers in general. He shouldn't have been disrespected like this, unacceptable.

Bro if my technical director brought all of that quality to the club for just 140 million in total I would double his wages. Spurs splashed 170 million on 5 players, including Richarlison who has 0 goals this season 😂

They finished 8th in the premier league, missing out on Europe for Brighton.

He'll probably return as technical director eventually. When you've dedicated so much of your life to a club like him, you eventually return regardless of current circumstances

Rangnick, a sporting director who helped the Red Bull empire succeed in European football, said, "If 50% of your signing work out, then you're doing a good job." Milan hasn't even bad, especially if you judge by the money spent.
