Decorating our First CHRISTMAS Tree 😍

We were so excited to decorate for our first Christmas that we started a little early this year. We spend most of the day shopping at different stores for the perfect decorations, then we made our apartment all cozy for the winter. Maui was VERY interested in everything and has been trying to take the ornaments off since we put it up😅
Thank you so much for watching!
Wishing everyone had a great Thanksgiving!🍂🍁

Comment below if y’all want to see a house tour. Filming this week realized we never did one after moving in.

I had my wedding dress turned into a tree skirt. Absolutely love seeing it each Christmas and it looks like a blanket of snow below the tree. Our ornaments are from all of our family vacations and special ones we get our kids each year.

A Christmas tradition we started the first year we were married was to purchase 1 hallmark ornament each year that had some memory from the year. For instance if we got a new dog or new house we would get that ornament there are some other ornaments that I would let the kids pick out. Now we have been married 34 years we remember each year as we put up the tree. Hopefully I can pass these down to my kids one day and they will remember this tradition. Happy first Christmas 🎄

We bought a special ornament every year to highlight what happened during the year(new baby, new pet) it's so fun to look at all of them every year. We've been married 25 years and we love looking at all of our memories every Christmas.

I use a tree skirt, but I’ve seen super cute metal baskets that people put their trees in! Also cute tradition my boyfriend & I do, we get each other an ornament every year that either reminds us of each other or something they enjoy! My sister does paw prints of her dogs each year & her and her husband have a tree dedicated just to their pups!

The tree looks beautiful!! Ya'll could get like a tree skirt to go on the bottom. We put up our Christmas tree before Thanksgiving too, I'm with Trace I like to enjoy it. Our cats were curious like Maui when we put our tree up too.

Happy Thanksgiving Trace and Lydia from Phoenix Arizona, our first Christmas was in Colorado Springs CO, my husband Terry was in the Army and we where at Fort Carlson Army base. We could not go home (Kentucky) for Christmas so we had soldiers over for dinner that had no family to celebrate Christmas Day so we became family. I was 4 months pregnant and it was my first time away from home for the holidays so I cried a lot when I was alone so my husband would not feel bad. Terry and I have been married 40 years this coming February and he is my best friend. I love watching your channel and you both are in my daily thoughts and prayers. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️

Our first Christmas, 49 years ago, we were a poor military couple so I made felt ornaments & decorated them, and also I painted wood ornaments. You two are such a sweet couple. Merry Christmas to you both!

Love the tree y'all!!!
My husband and I have bought a new ornament every year since we started dating and we write the year on it. Then, when we had kids, we did the same for them and now our 1st grandson, of course, with their names and year on it.. A tradition that I pray my kids carry on with their families!!!

We put our tree up before Thanksgiving. We get an ornament when on vacation. Looking at those ornaments brings back all the memories. We always have nativity scene under our tree.

We put ours up on Saturday so our grandbabies could help decorate. An ornament every year would be my suggestion. Looking back over the years you get to remember each one. Merry Christmas to you both!!

Our tree was up before Thanksgiving too. Our 1st Christmas, we celebrated Christmas Eve with my husband's Family, and Christmas Day with my Family.

Such cool memories purchasing our tree, and the trimmings for our tree. The most important thing is remembering Christ's Birth, and being together.

We were married Dec. 28th, so we waited almost a year to celebrate our 1st Christmas together as a married couple!

So Thankful for my husband and the 49 years God has given us to share life together!

We are so blessed!

Great job, beautiful tree! Thanks for sharing this time with me. Tradition from this Ole Lady, I've been married to my High School Sweetheart after I graduated college. We got a first year ornament, I stored it away in a special box of it's own. Then each year after that we would be given a gift of another ornament and if not, we would go pick one out for that that year. Now I have 45 ornaments! One for each year we have been married, This was fun. Merry Christmas! Happy Birthday Jesus.

We are hardcore about decorating after Thanksgiving.
It’s a tradition the whole family. (5 kids and honey and I) get in on.
My twin girls do an advent calendar count down every year.
We decorated gingerbread houses and do lots of baking as our traditions.
Enjoy making your own traditions as a married couple.
Jesus is the reason we celebrate! Keep that as your center and you will never go wrong or be overbooked for this wonderful season.
