Did the vocalist listen to the original song before she recorded this? She has no soul in her singing!

I don’t think she’s heard the original

I don't think the singer is as bad as folks are saying, but I just think this song really sounds empty without harmony on the vocals. Even unison voices with help give it the richness it needs

I'm going to play this in bigband (drums).. Live It doesn't sound THAT boring, but I wanna learn it first by listening to it multiple times 💤💤. At least the drum part is slightly more interesting than it is in the original version...

Do you remember
The 21st night of September?
Love was changin' the minds of pretenders
While chasin' the clouds away
Our hearts were ringin'
In the key that our souls were singin'
As we danced in the night, remember
How the stars stole the night away, oh, yeah
Hey, hey, hey
Ba-dee-ya, say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya, dancin' in September
Ba-dee-ya, never was a cloudy day
Ba-du-da, ba-du-da, ba-du-da, ba-du
Ba-du-da, ba-du, ba-du-da, ba-du
Ba-du-da, ba-du, ba-du-da
My thoughts are with you
Holdin' hands with your heart to see you
Only blue talk and love, remember
How we knew love was here to stay
Now December
Found the love that we shared in September
Only blue talk and love, remember
The true love we share today
Hey, hey, hey
Ba-dee-ya, say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya, dancin' in September
Ba-dee-ya, never was a cloudy day
There was a
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), dancin' in September
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), golden dreams were shiny days
The bell was ringin', oh, oh
Our souls were singin'
Do you remember never a cloudy day? Yow
There was a
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), dancin' in September
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), never was a cloudy day
And we'll say
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), dancin' in September
Ba-dee-ya (dee ya, dee-ya), golden dreams were shiny days
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya!
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya!

bruh tf is this, you can't skip the piano and guitar part in the beginning

This is an awesome arrangement, but there's no way any high school saxophonist is gonna hit those altissimo notes at 2:37. Really cool solo, but almost impossible.

Keep in mind that this is only a recording to sell their product so they are not going to get someone too outstanding to sing the part, also when you get this for your band you can change it however you want. (vocals or not) Another thing is that you can never top the original piece, its just not possible. One thing you could do is get the vocals from the original and just play with it. But that is just what i think.

I know it’s way too late to say this but if you don’t like this one go watch Christopher Bills version.
