Bon Jovi was definitely the influence for the MTV Unplugged series....see that this concert is named "An evening with Bon Jovi" when pretty much is an unplugged delivery with a few exceptions. Their MTV Awards unplugged rendition of Prayer/Dead or alive is said to be the major influence behind MTV´s decision to release an Unplugged series.
