Most of these are vanilla with commands but world edit is very useful for making it more user friendly and some extra features

Axiom is arguably better for beginners or doing general terrain. It's quicker with an easier to learn interface rather than many possibly complex commands. Not saying WorldEdit is bad, but I'm just giving some useful info for anyone who wants to get into building but struggle with WorldEdit.

I used to be a builder for a server (closed now). We we're basically 5 people working on the maps and yes worldedit heavily influenced the builds. Respect the server spawns yall they take time!!!

axiom is a much better alternative, it has the same fetures but also adds an amazing building mode in which you are basiclx in a 3d editor. there are so many options

Fun fact: Bedrock edition has something called Editor mode (which can be opened using the URL minecraft:?Editor=true) and it works kinda like that

An alternative for world edit (that I think is massively better) is a fabric/quilt mod called axiom. Its only available for 1.20+ but it’s still a phenomenal tool. It removes creative flight sliding, gives you infinite reach, does update suppression, gives you like 8 extra hotbars, and even more just in ONE of the menus
