Nestled in the Kelabit Highlands, Bario is not just a destination; it is a journey into the heart of Sarawak’s indigenous culture.
This trip brought out the kampung girl in me. I plucked my own pineapples, almost fell 😆 whilst working in the paddy fields and danced with the friendliest Kelabits.
To get to Bario from Singapore, we flew via Scoot to Miri, Sarawak, stayed a night before hopping on a MASwings-operated DHC6 Twin Otter for a 50min flight to Bario.
If you wanna escape the bustling city life and explore an untouched idyllic enclave, this is one journey I recommend you take. 💙
