Everybody! He wasn't trying to prove God's existence in this clip. He was just explain how Christian teachings are more of helpful guidelines than actual commands

False analogy. Science can explain how physiology works, it can't explain how supernatural phenomena work. You know there is no proof for God's existence, it is a matter of faith. From a proud Catholic!

Point well accepted: There is a reciprocity in sin. We reap what we sow. However, grace can come to the rescue.
GRACE---Gift Received At Christ's Expense. Suggestion, call on the Lord for grace and may God lift up His countenance upon you be gracious to you this new year and always.

Some of these comments are the most disgustingly ignorant things I've ever read.

Making God someone we want Him to be instead of who He is, is crossing a line into idolatry.
God is sovereign over all and He decides when He will have mercy (and allow our disobedience), when He will have justice (consequences for sin), and when He will force our hand (Jonah).

There is God’s perceptive will, God’s purposeful will and God’s passive will (God can and promises to equip us... gift… and talent… us to accomplish what He wants us to accomplish; but he cannot... will not... push us against our will.)

You can say God doesn’t exist in all of existence because God is not bound to existence itself.

Oh. I see. It's like when the mobster says, "nice store you got here. be a shame if something happened to it. just pay us protection money and nothing will. wink wink."

People who don't believe in god are people who like to live evil lives and pretend it's not an evil life, but they will see and it will be to late . Sucks for them

So basically God is indistinguishible from a Guru.... I mean, it's not as if canonically he hasn't created all these rules himself, and thus he _is in fact_ telling you what to do.

What is true happiness?
Why do we have this feeling of void inside that does not get filled?
Is there a way to fill it?

And what about the bad things that happen to people who haven't done anything wrongrly?

While I do believe in god, I don't think this video truly "explains god" at all. All it's doing is telling me doing certain things will have certain consequences or more specifically doing good things will have good consequences and doing bad things will have bad consequences. And you wouldn't need a god to explain why this is so. It's rather based on our perceptions on what is good and what is bad and we have derived the conclusions for those actions accordingly. Whether or not something is good or bad will depend individuals perspective. While I do believe god has give us the ability to freely make those decisions and accept out "fate". But a follow up question of "why?", Is something I honestly can't answer.

If that's all god is to you than I don't see how any atheist would have an issue, but it's disingenuous to imply this is all god means to everyone.

Bad explanation. If you are talking about the Judaic-Christian God, then it has nothing to do with recommending certain behavior for better results. it is divine command theory. God tells you to do X, and if you don't, you will be punished. It has nothing to do with God looking out for your well being. There are no arguments or reasons why God tells anyone to do things in the bible for instance. God just commands people to do things, and if you question God, like in the book of Job, you are scolded.

Granted the book of Job is just a story, but one of reasons for the story is that questioning God is bad, and if you don't know why God is telling you to do something, you are shit out of luck. In fact, both the Tanakh and the NT has people being ordered to risk their life for their faith. Last time I checked, martyrdom was bad for people's health.
