Recorded by students in 1989, in the projection booth of the Crest Theatre in Sacramento, Califonia. James Homer Criss was a union projectionist (Local 252 of the Moving Picture Machine Operators Union of the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees) who worked for the Crest Theatre in Sacramento, California. Celebrating 50 years as an operator, he talked to 2 film-making students about his craft of projecting motion picture film. Also seen is this video is a young Matias A. Bombal, at that time the manager of the theatre.

Mr Homer speaks his heart, emotions and his relationship and passion of his trade (Projection) with elegence. My respect for him.
