Buying into a bear market is easy to understand but make no mistake, it can be absolutely gut-wrenching to do. I rebalanced heavily into stock index funds early in 2008. This decision was guided by my and my wife's personal investment plan. We sat by and watched equities drop another 12%. The market eventually did reach it's bottom and everything became sunshine and roses for us. The in-laws had told my wife they thought I was crazy for buying when I did. They never mentioned it again and neither did we. Bear markets are a great opportunity but if you buy into a down market you better be ready for a rough ride.

During a bull run, DCA.

During a bear market, DCA but try to add an extra $25 to $50 bucks to every contribution. Take advantage of that sale while it last, otherwise just continue to DCA.

Great content Tae! Your channel and approach has a lot of potential vs the "get rich quickly" style of "content" that we see out there. Keep it the good work! +1 Subscriber

During bear markets is the time when i put more of my money into equities. During bull markets im more likely to hold onto cash or other alternative investments.

Wow, I’ve never been so early 😁. Another amazingly informative video, your videos have inspired me to open a vanguard account with the simple 3 fund portfolio and set it and forget it

Asking Buffett when best time to buy is like asking a car sales when is it a good time to buy a car. ALWAYS

I prefer to stay the course (#5). The reason for this is my investment accounts can be up $5 one day and down $5 the next day.

I picked up a ton of stocks during the crash alot of them kept going lower and I keep averaging down I do not plan on selling but I'd be lying I I said I wasn't nervous. I decided to invest in somewhat I guess riskier stocks that have a ton of growth potential if they can weather the storm. This is my first full bear market. If my stocks make it until the next bull cycle us there a good chance in your opinion that they'll bounce back then . I know you can't say for sure obviously but any opinion would be cool from anyone who has more time under their belt than myself. Thanks

Yes, have cash but keep it in a high-yield savings account.

Does tax loss harvesting apply to 401ks and IRAs?

so the beginning we say don't time the dip and just start buying, but in the end says save the cash to go all in the right time? which is which?

What happens if you tax loss harvest but you don’t have any taxable income? Is it only a good idea to book losses if you have a taxable income for that year?

Number 1 and number 4 are contradictory. If one keeps cash then the implication is they are trying to time the bottom. If one deploys their cash at set intervals then they are not keeping cash.
