I was an atheist for many years. Always a little depressed. A few days before the first week of this lent I was walking my dog and I said to myself “I want to be with God.” I’m 42 and in all my life I have never felt such bliss. This rush of peace coming from my heart. My heart felt like it was being hugged by something, but it felt so good. I thought all my logical scientific thinking had all the answers. When my heart felt this embrace, All the questions I had of God existing was gone, and that voice that says “I’ll be happy when, ” disappeared. I went to a Catholic church for the first time in 7 years today, confession and all. My understanding of the church and my Catholic faith is something I cherish more than I ever have. Today was beautiful. People can argue about God all they want, but it’s when I surrendered myself did I find him. I embrace the traditional Catholic Church because it’s not about me when I go to mass. It’s about God. Not my own selfish needs. I don’t want to hear a rock band or have someone tell me what Gods going to give me, or do for me. I discovered that it’s about being there for him, and not myself, and there has been so much inner peace. Not power, nor ego, peace. It’s the best feeling I’ve ever had.

I'm a convert from a Protestant church twenty years ago and have only known until last year the NO. My husband and I have been taking our family to a parish an hour away from home to celebrate the Mass with a FSSP parish and have never felt so surrounded by the Holy Spirit and others who want to truly worship with due reverence.

I took a young 30 yr old to the Latin mass in Phx last Christmas and he said “I can’t believe how many young people are here!”

As a convert when I first went through RCIA about 20 years ago I thought Vatican II was a good thing to do away with all those "Stuffy" old traditions.
This past year as I've grown in my faith I'm learning more and more how wrong I was.

The novus ordo mass sent me running out of the church into the arms of protestants. I spent 8 years in the protestant wilderness. It is a miracle from the LORD GOD himself that I am back into his church. I have been attending the mass of the ages for almost a year now and my sanity has been restored through it.

I'm 52yrs old now and have always attended novus ordo Mass, I knew no different. A poster in a shop window caught my eye, it was for Latin Mass. Eventually, I went to see what it was about, to be honest I don't know Latin so I was lost but knew that Our Lord was being revered in a beautiful way. I got to kneel and receive the Most Holy Eucharist on my tongue, that was such a blessing. Now, in Ireland, we have no Mass, no Sacraments nothing. I've wrote to 2 Bishops, no joy, they say it's for the best, to 'protect' everyone. I've emailed the politicians in my area that are Catholic and only got a reply from one, saying not much of anything. I feel we have been totally abandoned. I go to Church for private prayer, thank God, we can still do that. I surrender it all to him, I was so depressed but now I've given it all to Jesus, I feel better. The pope, the Church, trads, novus ordo, confusion everything, I got totally overwhelmed, I got scared. I went to Jesus, I'm staying with Jesus, everybody can fight among themselves. I'm keeping on eyes on Jesus. 🙏🙏🙏 God bless all here.

A “fiercely traditionalist movement” (i.e., orthodox Catholics) has emerged because, in great part, the True Faith has ceased to be promulgated for over 50 years. Not a hard thing to understand, Bishop Barron.

I was raised on "Modernist Catholicism" which always made me wonder what's supposed to be so special about being Catholic anyway. It was just a title I was born into. People I was surrounded by didn't behave much different than anyone else. Sometimes they were the worst. My parish leadership changed (for the better), I dig deeper, and now I finally get it. I was robbed of Traditional Catholicism for nearly 50 years. That's where the real treasure is.
