Two common reasons you might want to uninstall WordPress from Hostgator is you need a fresh start on your site or maybe you want to use another site builder offered by Hostgator such as Magento, Drupal, Magento, or another.

To start we want to manually uninstall WordPress from Hostgator via cPanel.

Login to the Hostgator cPanel and scroll down till you see the software section. Click on WordPress Manager by Softaculous.

You’ll be on the WordPress Management page. You’ll see an arrow on the right side of the page. Click this and it’ll drop down where you can select or un-select remove directory, remove database, and remove database user. You want to have all of these selected to completely uninstall and delete WordPress from Hostgator. Scroll down and click the remove installation button.

You’ll see a popup like this saying, these actions are irreversible! Are you sure you want to remove this installation?
