I've tried both but Hand brush and roller applications seem to work better for me

No Painter in his right mind would give up his Painter's discount, and just give it to a complete stranger.. Neither will the Paint store.. Don't embarrass yourself.. That's a crazy Girl's idea.. *This Video is all wrong*, Spraying sucks, But, it works for a quick, cheap Job, if Your gonna sell Your House..
Besides, Painting is as easy as wiping your butt.. Do it Yourself..

And why are these jobs subcontracted ??? you say... because customers want the cheapest price they can get and in turn want this guys climbing 30ft up your house to do an excellent job. Yup just like they show up to work to not get paid...

Not all was said on Angie's list was true! If you want a good painter you should pay for it. If you want a shittie painter go ahead and do so. Painting a house that's already painted is the most difficult and has more work. You have to power wash, scrap, testing for lead, masking, heights is an issue, painting facade different colors and many more nick's and naks....I know we all in hard times but you will know when you get a good painter not some guys who bids lower . that's why I dwell on John Ruskin quote. When you pay too much, you lose a little money that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought is incapable of doing the right thing was bought to do. John Ruskin

Has nothing to say about when you should spray, when you should brush...it is all about hiring.

I love it when they think we get discounts, NO, many times it is only 10% and well that's just TAXes in some areas if that. Funny Angie's list that has SOLD OUT to Home Advisor calls me three times a week offering me jobs, sorry I am booked and this is the key. if they can run over and do the job they are no good since with any good contractor or painter we are all busy and booked weeks if not months in advance and we are not the cheapest. Anyway go with the GUT, and get references, for if I ask you how many contractors have you talked with and you say none, I tell you to get some bids then call me.

Can you afford to brush and roll is the question

for selling your house, mid grade paint, spray or roll depending on house. spend money on good paint and backroll sprayed finish to get into the nooks and crannies if you want to save money in the long run.
