Zendaya Gets Photoshopped and SLAMS Magazine!

So take this as a final warning – nothing, and I mean NOTHING gets past our girl Z because you bet she’s always gonna have the last word.

Zendaya didn’t exactly wake up to the greatest news yesterday when a recent photo shoot she did with Modeliste Magazine took a turn for the worst after she got back the retouched photos only to find that her legs and torso had been noticeably slimmed. She posted before and after photos on her Instagram yesterday and let’s just say, her perfection of a response was enough to silence anyone that tries to mess with her in the future.

Alongside the side-by-side photos, she wrote, “Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated. These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have. Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self-love. So I took it upon myself to release the real pic (right side) and I love it."

The magazine obviously got word of Zendaya’s post and immediately took down the photos, to which Z added at the end of her post, "Thank you @modelistemagazine for pulling down the images and fixing this retouch issue."

And I’m sure we can all agree that Zendaya’s unretouched photo from the shoot looks even better than the botched awkwardly skinny image, so way to go, Z, for standing up for yourself and for showing that it’s totally ok to speak out.

Its so annoying how that magazine would even ever think her photo needs editing. I mean the pic on the right was georgous! like it's one thing to Like remove some shadows like the one that was on her leg, but they went too far. Especially with the filter they put on the left. I mean would that look realistic to anyone?

She is beautifully skinny and toned in real life..I'm just so flabbergasted that they wanted to make her even skinnier. Way to go Z! She has been my role model ever since she made her first appearance and has only continued to solidify my view of her that she is what this industry needs: a beautiful young lady with a great head on her shoulders who knows what she stands for and makes a difference for the better. Love you Z!

Is it just me but besides the main changes they made why did they think she would look better red like honestly the original photo look a thousand times better I hate how magazines photoshop pictures of people without even asking like I think it should be illegal to manipulate someone's body like this without their permission and even if someone wants to be photoshopped it's sad that this society makes people feel like they have to cover up the real them so that they don't face body shaming :( 💔
