Save Money on Southwest Flights When the Price Drops

Whenever Southwest has a sale, the first thing I do is check my existing flights. Why? I want to see if the price went down.

Southwest is one of my favorite airlines because they have a super flexible flight change or flight cancellation policy. In this video, I'm gonna show you how we can use their flight change policies to our advantage so that we can save some points or some money on some existing reservations.

So Southwest has a 40% off sale. I booked a flight for 6, 293 (normally 8, 391) points. Then saw that if I fly out the day before the cost would be 5, 873 points (normally 8, 391). But when I go to change the flight it says I have to pay 2, 098 points more (it still says promo code is still being applied.) The sale isn’t over and the +2098 is the difference for the 8, 391. Would it be better to just cancel and rebook?
