Jake Holmes singing... Joe Sirola doing the voice-over... what a great combination of talent! One of the best commercials of all time. You'll recognize Joe Sirola's voice from spots for Wendy's. And you'll know Jake Holmes's voice from signing "Gillette... the best a man can get!"

Yes! This IS the commercial I thought it was, with Lady Liberty 🗽 at the end, seen as one of those “raising her hand because SHE WAS SURE!(of 🇺🇸 America being a free country, ha ha!) All of a sudden it’s 1983 and I’m 14 all over again; almost 40 years gone by since this commercial was in its heyday! Thanks for posting!

When I'm in bed this has played thru my head one time almost every night since 1983. Pretty sure when I'm gone, I'll hear this as soon as my bell rings even if I can't raise my hand.
"Well if you're livin' in the world today, you be hearin' slang that the Wu Tang say. Well if you like the way it sound then clap man. And if the women love it too well then raise your hands. But only raise your hands if you're sure."
