I use autopod for podcast edits (well now my editor does) and it helps speed up the process somewhat. The issue is someone still needs to go through the whole edit and fine-tune parts. For a podcast with 3 cameras with 60 minutes of footage, I could edit the whole thing by setting up a multitrack sequence in Premiere in about 4 hours. Autopod takes me about 2.5-3. So there is some time savings but not too much. If perfection doesn't matter I suppose one could just export the autopod cuts, but I definitely wouldn't do that.

It's a great idea, but there seemed to like large sections on time focusing on the groom whilst he was talking, like minutes long. I always try and flip angles every 20/30 seconds to show people's reaction etc.

I feel adding a 10 second hold would fix a lot if these problems. It's a ceremonial edit you don't want a lot of jump cuts.
Also the really long section would be better if the plugin had a max length clip section.

This saves maybe 20 minutes or maybe 0 minutes if you're really good cause you have to double check its work anyway by watching through. Just use a multicam sequence, press play and switch between angles as it plays and itll do the same thing

This is definitely cool, but at least for me as a wedding videographer - I still don't trust what the "eyes" of AI see vs myself. I can see something and create something out of it whereas AI might not be able to. Maybe it's a trust thing but I still prefer to have my eyes on everything and do it my way, even if it takes a bit longer. But surely we're on our way to some pretty innovative stuff.

Yeah reaction shots are gona be tough with this kind of workflow, still needs manual work. Could you nest clips to fix having to trim them before starting?

The part that I would want is for the processional when I’m cutting between my gimbal camera and other angles as people come down the aisle, that’s what takes the longest for ceremonies for me

It'll get you halfway there at best. I mean you do want reactions, cutaways etc. I rarely cut on people beginning or ending a sentence.

I've been hoping for something like this, but of course I made the switch to Davinci at the beginning of the year and I didn't renew my premiere subscription. I'm hoping for the release of this amazing plugin for Davinci in the very near future

Matt good video... a little off-topic... several videos back I thought you were switching to Resolve, but it looks like you are staying with Premiere Pro? I went out and got Resolve, but is Premiere Pro easier to use?
