Hopefully it can become a museum soon enough. I still recall Yanukovych's lavish palace complex from Ukraine and considering that both leaders have fled to Moscow, this presidential palace should become a public testimony showcasing the relics of corruption, embezzlement, and dictatorship for the Syrian people to visit.

In Syria we have covered women and non covered women. That man needs to understand that ruling Syria through a religion will not work, most Syrians won’t accept another extremist government.

Venezuela, Iran, and North Korea are shaking their boots off that they could be next by seeing this news in Syria.

Bit concerned he forced her to cover in what is suposed to be a secular country. If she was in a Mosque, church or a relgious neighbourbood it would make sense, but in Assad's palace? Many Syrian women themselves, muslim, christian and athiest choose not to cover their hair. Let alone a foreigner.

Clarification: I am from Syria. In Syria, you can wear whatever you want, but the fighter asked her to wear the hijab because he is very religious and cannot look at her and talk to her on camera. They have so far emphasized the freedom of every person and have not and will not force women to wear the hijab.
