I don’t know what is so hard for y'all to understand. They are making an animation aka a cartoon. They aren't doing the live action with these people. Some of the original characters may not be able to immitate a child's voice. Tyler James Williams (Chris) has a deep voice. Him trying to recreate his voice as a child aint gonna happen. Tyler is also a main character in Abott Elementary. He is booked and busy.
