I remember when having a CD player in a car was luxury. I had a portable Philips CD player with 60 second ESP that cost almost $180 new. That was luxury considering a lot of people were rocking tape players still.

Damn that thing looks sleek and classy. The case is well crafted and the design if the camera looks great. I'm sure some photographer would buy even if he won't use it. Despite there being better cameras it could go on a collection. People love buying old cameras for display and this would he a nice addition especially if you're trying to show the advancement of camera tech over the decades

I used to cut these out of Sharper Image catalogs and hang them on my wall. I was obsessed with becoming a photographer. Lol now I have a better camera in my pocket than I've ever owned and I only use it to remember my grocery list

I was in elementary school around 2002 and I remember all the parents always holding cameras like this recording the assemblies we had. Crazy how technology has changed so much since then that all that technology has been replaced by a single item (smartphones)

In materials cost compared to raw materials in a modern 900$ device this thing is probably twice as valuable. I bet it works pretty well too, it's kind of nice to have devices that don't want to connect to an entire ecosystem.
