Willow edited my manuscript and she was FANTASTIC! She understood my goal and the atmosphere I was going for. She helped me hit my target dead center! Now I'm waiting on some agents (including the president of one agency!!!) to get back on if they want to take me on. I genuinely don't think The Beast in the Glass House could have gotten as far as it has without her help. If you're in need of an editor, go for Willow!

The only way to win House of Leaves is to never read it. As someone who likes the book, you're 100% spot on with your criticisms. And people should take note.

Hey, just wanted to say I only discovered your channel a couple months ago, but you've helped update and expand my reading knowledge, specifically with japanese literature and thank you so much for that! Currently reading the decagon house murders and it is brilliant!

Love Gideon the Ninth! I have the same issues just listening to an audiobook by itself, but I do love to listen along to an audiobook as I read! I did that with all The Locked Tomb books. Highly recommend.

I find immersion reading works really well for me so I listening and reading the same time it really helps my brain focus on the information

So happy to see another ADHD girlie who cannot focus on audiobooks.
I want to listen to books so badly because I could do WAY more reading in a year, but I forget to listen every time. I get stressed and frustrated because of the amount of effort it takes and I stop enjoying the book.
Sometimes I can get away with a memoir but, even then, my brain will feel much happier if it can just look at a physical copy. Physical books and e-books only for me, I'm afraid.

Omg, My Darling Dreadful Thing mentioned 😱 Even though gothic isn't quite my genre, I too am obsessed with how good this book is. My friends and I are going to send our signed paperbacks to a rebinding service so it can look beautiful in hardcover ❤

If you like DC books, I recommend the special single issue of Trinity, which collects a bunch of short stories of Wonder Woman’s daughter from childhood to adulthood and becoming her own hero.

In truth, it’s the spiritual successor to my favorite DC series over the past decade, Super Sons, and is actually about the story of how Trinity/Lizzie Marston Prince grows up with her brothers, the sons of Superman and Batman. And she specifically, repeatedly calls them brothers, because these three are family.

I am so happy you're talking about My Darling Dreadful Thing because I feel this --very undeservedly-- is flying under everyone's radar. It is so so good! Quintessential modern queer gothic horror infused with so much of Dutch culture in the 50ies, which I as a Dutch person really appreciated and which added a whole new layer to the sense of both longing and dread!
I was listening to the finale in the middle of the night during a bout of insomnia and let me tell you, I could practicall SEE everything that was happening right in front of my eyes, that's how absorbed I was!
