The part of the video when there's like 100 stardew wiki tabs open really resonates

I had no idea that auto-petters even existed until this video, and now I'm determined to get some!

haha yes! i used the same tactic:
- fill crystalariums with Jades
- sunday desert trip to the camel lady and trade jades for staircases
- wait for a lucky day and grind skull cavern until i get the chest rooms
- if i dont get an autopetter right away i just restart the game and do all over
somebody has to pet all those pigs and it aint gonna be me!

This is one of the best-made SV tutorials I have ever seen. He states the purpose of the video and goes right into the information without beating around the bush, explains why this strategy is the best by comparing it with ones that would take longer, and then goes through all the information you need to know to achieve the goal including all prerequisite items/strategies...all while being as entertaining as possible without slowing the pace of the video.

Instant like. Instant sub. Keep up the good work, dude.

I’m on year 15 winter. I got my first auto petter year 14 around winter using lucky lunch with qui seasoning and ginger ale with qui seasoning. After that I got like 17 auto petters lol.

auto petter + auto collecter + coopmaster (level 10 farming) + coop filled with rabbits

this allows you to get iridium quality rabbit feet (a universally loved gift) which even without the 8x birthday bonus already give half a heart of friendship and you can just hibernate until you get massive amounts of them and then max out all the villager hearts *cough* exept penny

This was great! I had no idea the desert trader even sold things on different days. I’ve been using my crystalariums for Rubys to buy spicy eel. That jade trick is a WAY better deal.

I've heard that items from panning are calculated per tile at the beginning of the day, and aren't based on food luck. This means that panning the same tile will always give you the same item. Not usually noticeable, except by the river in Ginger Island. I do recall getting two lucky rings and I think I panned the same tile and I think I noticed that I was getting the same items when panning in similar places, but I didn't perform any rigorous testing at all.

Regarding Luck and Treasure Floors. Daily Luck and Luck Buffs affect chances differently.
There is a base chance of 1%. Daily Luck swings from -1% to +1% (-0.75% to +1.25% with the charm).
Luck Buffs add 1% per point of Luck Buff.

Do note that burglar's rings do not increase the odds of getting special items from monsters.

If you want to go down a prediction route, lucky rings crates locations can be predicted. A common method for this is to not break crates on floor 1 of the Skull Caverns when it is a container floor layout (3/9/19/24/29), use the map predictor to show you which tiles will contain a lucky ring, and only break that specific container. The reason that you don't break all containers is that the game saves the number of platform containers that can ever spawn on a certain floor in the caverns. Don't use them all up.

The drop from a boss monster is determined by the day, and the tile that the monster is killed on. You can fence in a monster to a specific tile and kill it there to guarantee the auto-petter drop.

If you don't want to go down a prediction route, you have very good advice in this video.

If you're looking for auto-petters, waiting for a good luck day probably isn't necessary: The difference between a zero luck day (perfectly neutral, no charm) and max luck day (with special charm) is the equivalent of 1.25 luck level. Given you can easily pump your luck level to 8 (QiLucky Lunch + QiAle + 2 lucky rings) or 9 with rock candy, your treasure room rate with 8 luck goes from one every 11.1 rooms to 1 every 10 rooms. With rock candy it goes from 1 every 10 rooms to 1 every 9.1 rooms. Unfortunately, however, daily luck/luck level have zero influence over what treasure is in a room, you're just rolling and hoping. There are 26 possible outcomes, and only one is an auto-petter, so you'd expect to have to go about 289 to 237 floors on average per auto-petter, from no rock/no luck to rock + luck. Restarting days will allow you to mulligan these to save staircases, but your luck level matters much more than daily luck.

For those that didn’t know if you hold the interact button and just run around the barn it’s probably the best way to let your animals in on PlayStation and what I usually do is go in and just hold X and run around till everyone is pet then let my animals out takes about 2 minutes

A fine alternative is to look after the Special Qi Slimes after completing the Danger in the Deep quest from the Qi's Walnut Room (since you can activate the shrine and change the regular mines into the Hard Mines for as long as you wish). With some luck, you can get items like Auto-Petters, Galaxy Souls and Enrichers/Pressure Nozzles for free ;)

I have 7 autopetters in Year 2 from Skull Caverns that I got by accident. I didn't realize they were hard to come by, guess I got lucky!

I feel like since you went the morally better route in stardew the other ship keepers should sale the stuff that Jojomart would have had. I’ve not done a jojo play through yet but I’m definitely going to

this sounds like more work than just petting your animals so I'm probably just gonna stick with that
