Perry recorded two versions of "The Story Of The First Christmas". The first version (originally titled "The First Christmas") was recorded in 1950 and released as a special DJ pressing. This second version was recorded on July 13, 1959 and released on the 1959 album, Season's Greetings From Perry Como. The track was arranged by Joe Lipman and Jack Andrews with Mitchell Ayres and His Orchestra, and was produced by Charles Grean and Lee Schapiro.

I have never heard this before today and I grew up as Perry Como fan. How did I miss this?? Absolutely beautiful!!

Dad played this every year when we decorated the Christmas tree. A great influence in my life and a wonderful memory song.

I heard this on Pandora this morning and it took me back years. My mum would play this over and over at Christmas. Thank you YouTube for posting. Now I can watch when I want. It has brought back so many wonderful memories.
