Checking Out Rolling Rhino

In this video I will be Installing Normal and Minimal Rolling Rhino in Virtualbox and share with you some of the things I have learned in the last couple of weeks messing around with this distro. I have found Rolling Rhino a very interesting project in the that it is Ubuntu which you will never need to reinstall as it tracks the development repos which makes it a rolling distro like Arch Linux. It comes with some of their own tools to configure the system which are terminal based, however not that difficult to use and the website/wiki I found very easy to understand and follow. I find it very appealing not to have to reinstall or upgrade from one interim release to another and then finally upgrade to the next Long Term Support release, it just keeps rolling, hence the name Rolling Rhino. I'm currently running this on real hardware HP EliteBook, so far I'm happy with experience. Hope you enjoy the video.

Another nice one Colin. Interesting this one, but I don't like snap nor flatpaks. BTW I moved from Peppermint to Debian Cinnamon.

The rhino-deinst tool does not work in the minimal environment. I had to install a desktop with the sudo apt install [desktop name ] command and that took care of it. Nala and Pacstall had to be installed in the terminal after booting to the new graphical desktop. It didn’t install GNOME for my desktops which meant I had Ubuntu Rhino running on my preferred desktops instead of the default XFCE
