Katrina, thank you for mentioning that cutting off the selvage is such an important step. Some YT teachers neglect to tell their views this as they just stack and cut fabric. I always think of the newbies to quilting when this happens. Did they cut out pieces that included the selvage, then find the pieces usless? What a waste! How discouraging!

I’m doing a rail fence at the moment as well as the basket weave lol ( I’ve finished the blocks just have to square them up and put the strips and corner stones on) taking a break with the rail fence. I love getting ideas from you and Jeanette

Lovely quilt Katrina, I'm guessing also to make it larger, you could have 2 of each fat quarters to make more blocks, the add borders if desired
