Mine still has me gaming at 1440p with no issues. . I am buying a 7800x3d this week and passing my 7700k build on to my nephew.. it's more than capable of running anything new .. even cyberpunk runs great with it 😊

Im still running my 7700k (not clocked at this time) and a 3060 ti. Runs everything in 2k, albeit not perfect all the time. Definitely playable right now but going to upgrade in the coming months. 7700k has been a trooper through the years and will be given a spot on my wall.

My 7700K has gotten me to 2023 NO PROBLEMS 1440p... I've loved it and have saved thousands on upgrades over the years. I really don't even want to get rid of it but I am itching for a new build with some really great found holiday sales... will be keeping it and using it in another back-up-ish computer hopefully for a long time to come!

I have one, paired with a RTX 2070 super. Works just fine.

As Second hand i7 7700K still holds really good.I use it with 3070 on 1440p and it’s really good.

Its not just the number of cores, IPC is a big factor aswell.

Times fly. If I want to build my 'glory days' system, I need to look for a PIII 800. I still think that most of the best games I've played don't need more. Besides Cyberpunk, of course. :) From the past to today: Pentium 200 MMX, Pentium III 667/800, Athlon 64 3200+, Phenom 2 X4 955, i5 4460, Ryzen 5800X.

i have 7700K delid @ 5 ghz and i've just tested it on Cyberpunk 2077. I am around 70-80 fps average bottelneck CPU. So 7700K OC is still good on 2023 if you run on a 4K 60 hz monitor (like me).

I bought a PC with an i7 8700k and a GTX 1060 6GB. The combo games just fine.

OC the hell out of this bad boy and it's just a stock 12100 basically, which is pretty amazing, I love this chip

Will the i7 7700 handle a gtx 1080 ti?

I'm still rocking my 7700k Delid 5Ghz 32gb ram and GTX 1080ti still doing a great job but im really wanting to upgrade and using the 7700k in a build for my daughter.

I remember the debate between zen 1 and this cpu. Most touted this as the performance king. Well, AMD might have played the long con but I have a 5800x3d on the same platform with a 4090, and they have, well, this or probably am5!

I currently have a 7700k OC to 4.9 with a 1070

I'm running most stuff at 4K 60 fps with a 3080Ti.

Some newer games are set at Med/High.

It stil holds its own.

The I7 7700k (still runnning it) is good upon to the rtx 2070. Any Gpu above that will bottleneck. So if ur running an I7 7700k (with or without OC) paired with a RTX 2070 you will still have much gaming pleasure in 2023.

I have an I 7700K with an Asus 2080ti Turbo 11 GB VRAM and 32GB of RAM and it uses all of the preforms of the graphics Card still

I like the comparisons! I’m currently rocking a 6600k on a z170 motherboard with a gtx 1060. The 7700k is the best cpu I can find without needing to get a new motherboard, and I’ve seen a 50$ and an 80$ listing within the past week alone. I’ve never had any issues gaming on my 1080p 60hz monitor, but my loading times on baldurs gate 3 are getting ridiculous, so I’m hoping the new cpu will help speed things up a bit. I’ll most likely end up upgrading to a better gpu early next year, then upgrade the cpu/mb to 13th or 14th gen in 2024.
