My brother loved this song, He died a Hero in combat this yr, he took a bullet for a civilian. Leaving a 3 month old baby girl, a 11yr old daughter a new wife and brand new house. I play this song for him at the Veterans cemetery, he died for this Flag. God bless all you warriors, ask the Lord Jesus to be your savior before you enter your next battle please. God bless

Jerry Goldsmith was a genius.. together with Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer and Alan Silvestri he was one of the greatest film music composers of all time.. what a wonderful piece!

IN THE MID-80'S ... I spent a fortunate afternoon watching Jerry Goldsmith lay down part of the soundtrack to Frank Marshall's CONGO at the Paramount Music Stage

At the 'AMY DEFENDS PETER SCENE' -- Mr. Goldsmith had the orchestra hold a half a beat for the 'cue' and it made the scene perfect.

30+ Years later, I still get happy, geekboy chills thinking about this as right after they recorded it, Mr. Goldsmith came into the Sound Booth and ...

... he looked at me and I shrugged like one would do to a Yogi Master. And he gave me a wink and a smile.

Jerry Goldsmith is missed.
