Thank you! I had to watch a dozen videos to find this one that talked about removing the blooms to put in a vase.

Great thank you. Your presentation provided the information I was looking for, which I could not find after watching 5 other youtube clips! We call them Arum Lilies here in Australia

Hello. I have a Calla Lily that was planted in San Francisco when I was five years old by a beloved next door neighbor. I am now 72 and have moved to Fresno California bringing it with me. During it's lifespan in SF, it offered a few blooms a year planted in the sandy soil and foggy weather by the ocean. When I first transplanted it down here which is basically reclaimed desert, the first year it offered 23 blooms, then sort of disappeared for a few months. The second year it sprouted beautiful leaves but no blooms. I took it from the garden soil and planted it in a large pot in potting soil. Again it thrived but still no flowers. This 4th year it finally offered 2 blooms only. I have recently transplanted it to a much larger pot, with potting soil, and the leaves are massive. The stalks are an inch or so thick. I'd like to know what to feed it for flower production. It seems to require a great deal of water and a mildly shady area. Our summers are on average 110 degrees and that didn't seem to phase it. Winters can be just above freezing but so far, it has acclimated itself. Any info from folks here who know these plants would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you so much for the information, reading online about Cala lilies I’ve came across information saying it likes sun. I live in Los Angeles zone 10a so these beautiful plants my aunt gave me died under the direct sun. Luckily I planted some extra ones in the shade and they’re doing alright. I hope it’s not too late to move them to a cooler moist area.

Like these flowers! Please, do Calla Lily make seeds or does it propagate only by bulbs and shoots?

How do you take them apart to propagate thrm? Mine are really tight.

You had pink call lily in your backyard once you've shown in one of your videos, how it's doing, should have shown that also. I too have planted purple & burgandy just growing

I have these I brought home from Australia. Live in zone 7B. Grow them in water in greenhouse. They Have continued to go dormant through the summer and grow during the winter for the last 20 some years. I’ve never been able to grow them outside in the summer because there are dormant. Wish I could switch that part around

I have an over abundance of these lillies in zone 8b. Can the rhizomes be dug and stored for later planting without being in soil? Thanks!
