Launching a fresh attack on the Centre, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has claimed that invites to a G20 summit dinner hosted at the Rashtrapati Bhawan had ‘President of Bharat’ inscribed on them instead of the customary ‘President of India’. The Constitution of India currently refers to the country as "India, that is Bharat". But ahead of the special session of Parliament slated for September 18-13, there have been growing calls to amend this to simply "Bharat". This movement is driven by a desire to shed remnants of colonial rule and embrace the nation's indigenous heritage.

There is no need to change the name of our country. India has a rich history and cultural significance associated with its name, and it is recognized globally by this name. The name "India" has been used for centuries and changing it would not serve any practical purpose.

INDIA, BHARAT both names are accepted by Indian constitution in 1949
We can use both,
It is mentioned in very first line

In Hindi literature it written as Bharat
In English it as India

Why need to be fully changed as Bharat?? Y that became suddenly an immediate necessity to change the country name itself..?? INDIA anyway gets recognised as Bharat, Hindustan etc. Y is Bharatiya Janata Party so particular to modify the name of the country itself to a name similar to their party name.? India is too an anciently recognised & used name worldwide. The preamble of the constitution itself starts as "The people of India" 🇮🇳. Yes it's really fine to accept the name Bharat but the sad part is that they are focusing & trying to completely ruboff the name India😢
