As a Nexus 5 owner..I agreed with EVERYTHING you said you were spot on. It's blazingly fast but the battery life is POOR!! However...i absolutely LOVE mine!! BTW, it only has ONE speaker...the other 'grill' is the mic. Great video :)

I'm watching this video from my Nexus 5. I'm very pleased with the stock Android experience on this device. To me the battery gets me through the day with moderate to heavy use. The standby time is fantastic, call quality is decent, and the speaker just gets the job done. Just remember that the Nexus 5 had a hardware refresh a few months ago, making the speaker holes bigger, which made the sound louder. This phone gives you the best value for your money. The screen is perfect and it feels right holding it in your hand. If anyone wants the cleanest Android experience and best value for your money, then by any means get this phone.

For those complaining about washed out screen.
I think Franco Kernel give you the option to calibrate the screens contrast, saturation and overall calibration, so give it a look if you want guys :)

+ColdfusTion i really love your channel its awesome and i really do appreciate all the hard work that goes into your videos especially the style its so unique... but your longer video are so much more nicer compared to the shorter ones so please keep making long videos as all the other Youtubers just do mainly short videos... the long videos make your channel a keeper :D

Didn't Google solve the slow/sluggish camera app with Android 4.4.2?
I've seen videos of it that shows it focusing and taking photos very quickly. The HDR+ mode after the update is about as fast as taking a normal photo was before the update according to what others said.

Watching this on a nexus 5 haha. Nice review.

My only objections is to the review is with the battery life. My device usually lasts a full day with moderate use, and if you're someone who came from the nexus 4, you will definitely see a big improvement. Also, compared to my friend's HTC one, it lasts a lot longer, not to mention it stays a lot cooler during high intensity processor usage.

However, if anyone is worried about the nonremoval battery, I'd recommend an anker 6000 mAh portable charger $30 from amazon. Its pretty amazing.

Theres probably another bad aspect with the display: Viewing angles. I can see the LED backlight shine through when looking at the display from the sides and the screen gets totally washed out when viewed from certain angles. Anyway, gorgeous video.. as always :)

As pointed out by Anandtech, the screen on the nexus 5 is one of the most accurate smartphone displays when it comes to colors, it's not washed out...

Thank you for mentioning that the display, while 1080p, looks a bit washed out. Other reviewers failed to mention this. Perhaps they don't want to diss a Google product. I'm a fan of Google and Android, but the display quality should be reviewed objectively.

Does the N5 also take good low light pictures when there is movement in them? Does it focus fast at all in evening light? Both aren't the case for my LG G2. If the N5 compensates for the bad lens aperture by decreasing the shutter speed, that's going to come with some major downsides.

I get a full day of battery use easily.. Camera is the only weak link..I have a 32gb model so storage is pretty decent. The music wasn't on point in this video cold.. pretty surprised.
