With early spring comes one of the best grafting periods of the year. In this video I show you my 3 favorite grafting techniques for this season, which I use to graft figs, apples, pears, plums, peaches, grapes, kiwis, persimmons, loquats and many other fruit trees. Selecting which of these 3 techniques to use in each situation is just a matter of adjusting your scions to the available rootstocks as I demonstrate in each case.

Table of contents:

1. Choosing the right technique - 0:50
2. Modified Cleft Grafting Technique - 04:43

Thank you for the fantastic videos. Especially your explanation of skewing the scion to have the cambion to connect at some point has improved my results.

Your best yet video. Bringing all the techniques together and explaining when you use them is invaluable. Also, showing grafts after a year or two is helpful. Your English is brilliant, keep the videos coming!

Last year I watched your videos, then got some tools, equipement, and scions and did some grafting. You made it look so easy, I was not prepared for how much learning and practice was required, LOL. But your teaching was very good, and I got almost complete success ratio. One whip and tonque didn't take because I was impatient and tried to take the tape off too soon. Thanks for making these very good videos! I'm working on an apple espalier this year.

No way you can go wrong with this type of video, whether you are a beginner, an intermediate, or an expert.

Smart use of a single scion for multiple grafts 👍🏾. That was what enabled me to go 50 in a single day.

Your channel is the very best in explaining the various grafting techniques and how to do it. I chip-budded Paul's Scarlet onto a white-flowered hawthorn (for bonsai) and I got very good success by following your advice. Thank you. Thank you! 😊😊😊

All pandemic season learning from your videos. Don’t have the kind of fruits that you own but trying with citrics and others plants almost all successful grafting. Thanks for your videos. ✌️🙏. Keep tuned
