Asus Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED (2023) | Creator's Dream Laptop?

Reviewing Asus' Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED (2023) laptop, specifically the UX8402 with Intel's 13th Gen Core i9 and RTX 4050 GPU. With its slick dual display design and beefy performance, is the Asus Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED the best notebook for editing and creative tasks?

It's certainly powerful enough to cope with any apps and even some pretty heavy gaming, running the likes of Returnal with a smooth frame rate. Asus' cooling tech keeps the Zenbook Pro 14 Duo 2023 from overheating under pressure, while the battery life is also decent considering the double displays.

That main screen is a 14.5-inch OLED panel, which can faithfully reproduce colours and pump out eye pleasing HDR visuals. Underneath is a smaller 12.7-inch IPS screen with anti-glare coating. The Zenbook Pro 14 Duo laptop can run multiple apps on both displays, with smart shortcuts.

You also have some pretty good speakers, a Full HD camera, two Thunderbolt ports and up to 2TB SSD storage. Overall, some solid specs, although the Asus Zenbook Pro 14 Duo 2023 will cost you the best part of £2000 in the UK.

This laptop has been great as I am a student. I can throw reference material down on the second screen and type my papers on the main display. I've had it for 6 months and I love it.

I have this computer. I bought it about 2 years ago. I am in love with this computer! One of my favorite features is the touch pad to the right. I have a mouse that I can attach via blue tooth that I don't use! It is so quick and easy to move my right hand from the keyboard to the right touch pad and back. Mostly, I think that we are accustom to using our right hand to access the mouse on the right side already so having the pad on the right fits easy into my brain as auto pilot takes over. I recognize that this vlogger here doesn't like the keyboard with touch pad on the right but he is wrong on this! I am a huge fan of the configuration!

Is it safe to put screen protector films on both screens? Or will this damage the screen in any way?

I’ve had the Zenbook Pro Duo since it first came out in 2019 and later years upgraded to 2nd Gen. For me, this is 100% a creators and developers dream laptop. I have a full on workstation with 24” dual monitors at my home office, but the convenience of this laptop is too good.

The newest ZenBook Pro Duo is a huge disappointment because I was ready to upgrade again. The double screen folds up so tall that it’s not practical for working anywhere besides a table. I really hope they go back to the old, convenient design.

Is the oled going to get burn in? I see that apple iphones rarely get burn in but in some other oled screens it is more common. so how bad is it with asus screens?
