I think that surely most aspiring singers realise there is a natural range for their voice, and would really like to sing something simple well; but that doesn't stop one wanting to do the harder stuff not too badly either. Personally I get a boost from more or less being able to follow/mimic an artiste who's natural voice range seems different from my own. It's a valid aim as far as I'm concerned. It's great when I believe I'm hitting the lows from a bass song, or keeping mostly up with the higher pitches of a female artiste. I agree get the basics instinctive first, but I'm not leaving the rest for decades. I'm in the shower only about 20 minutes, I can use that time to sing in whatever pitch the radio plays 😉

I am a nurse who wants to sing to her patients. I've discovered I am an Alto and am struggling with an organic sound! I am inconsistent 😕 with my chest and head voice. I follow my piano keys and get the notes, with adjustments along the way. I just can't make it sound consistently from the same place. Does that make sense? Haha 😄

I can sing high pitch constantly in mix and its easy. What is kind of hard is Sia's chandelier. Am I suppose to be singing that high being a guy? It doesn't hurt but it doesn't feel like head voice either but it might be a light blend of it. I'm still new to mix but I can do it every time now. I am now able to to go from my normal speaking register straight to mix voice to and do rap which is quite interesting to mess around with. I was singing some Justin Bieber last night he is in mix 24/7 lol and constantly hits G4b. I like his older stuff though. I just feel lots of pressure in my head and pharyngeal space as I go higher. I did it for 4 hours to and nothing hurt at all. I am not a Soprano cause my voice teacher said I was a barri/tenor. I would like your thoughts on why I can sing like this. I use the ee vowel placement which gives me as much space as I need and it's also comfortable for me to do.

In 1990, Mariah Carey debuted. She featured great whistle tones compared to late Minnie Ripperton. So many people wanted to sing like MC since 1990. Many could not.

Nobody was as highly compared to MC until 2018. That is when Morissette Amon sang + whistle toned 🤯 in Akin Ka Na Lang in the Wishbus in Pasay City, Philippines. 🇵🇭

In 1991, #30years ago 🎂, Bryan Adams 🇨🇦 sang Everything I Do I Do It for You. He, producer/writer Mutt Lange + late Michael Kamen 🇺🇲 wrote. BA + Mutt Lange also produced the song.

Although BA worked with Mutt Lange, also a vocal coach + vocalist, BA cannot whistle. Nor does he have as high range as Lou Gramm 🇺🇲, who sang backing vocals in the BA hit This Time, 1983. Yet, BA beat MC in having his song as Nr 1 Billboard Song of 1991. 🤯

Mutt Lange has written/produced hits from AC/DC, Huey Lewis, Foreigner, Loverboy, Billy Ocean + The Cars before working with Bryan Adams, Michael Bolton, ex wife Shania Twain + Lady Gaga.

Few people can sing like Mariah Carey. 😖And taking 28 years for someone to reach her level is a long time! 😖 There is no need to expect any whistle notes to be a great singer just as Bryan Adams + Mutt Lange demonstrated.

Improving what you have is basic. 😃Anything else that happens thereafter is extra! 😎
