Laugh canisters from Monsters Inc can be seen! During the movie we see Buzz Lightyear make several attempts to reach hyperspeed in order to save him and his crew who are stranded on a mysterious planet. At one point during the montage showing his many attempts, a laugh canister can be seen in the background. Laugh canisters were from another Pixar movie, ‘Monsters Inc,’ and were used to store up the energy from a kid's laugh in order to be extracted and refined into energy.

I think those are scream canisters cuz laugh canisters are actually much larger than scream canisters due to children’s laugh being more powerful than screams

I know that Pixar hides Easter eggs to upcoming movies and I figured, "Hey, maybe that scrapped Monsters Inc. sequel will become a reality!"

But then I remembered the Elementals movie....
