I agree, I’m glad Healing Good is coming back, but I hope the quality of the season doesn’t suffer, because it has been so good so far. I feel like fighting viruses should be encouraged.

Yay, Precure is returning! The one reason I was sane during quarantine is back. I really hope the production doesn't suffer, and who knows how Toei is planning to cut this up.
Also at this point, I'm sure everyone has seen Cure Earth. Looks like Toei still needed to get out that merchandise.

This might be the shortest Precure season so far with 43-44 episodes.

So excited but also soo worried that the script will suffer from the missing weeks. Fingers crossed for the best outcome, because I was really enjoying this season

I have missed this one. Was so darn good and a shame that we were losing out on seeing this weekly. Whatever happens, it will be nice to see one of the best precure series of the past few years back.

I am super the long wait is over note it has taken them two to put the episode together

I also think it is rather worrying because it really is unknown what kind of thinking they decided to adopt. I think they'll cut episode for good reason, like Cure Earth goods is actually out and the Official Goods maker give out the lineup with Earth as cover.

Hopefully they decided to move the scheduling instead as a whole and move the next series to March instead of February. They could just cut few series episode to move the schedule back but we have no way of knowing. Hopefully they didn't sacrifice the series quality for schedule (but again it is Toei)

And so it continues!
I'm honestly 50/50 in terms of the episode count. On one hand pretty cure is known to have a lot of filler so taking out a few fillers episode that contribute nothing isn't going to kill the series. If anything, I feel this is the opportunity for the writers to actually condense the story a bit. On the other hand, I pray that the writing quality doesn't suffer because while the animation quality has been meh for the past few seasons, I do think the writing for this one has been particularly strong and I'd hate to see this series get screwed over due to Toei mandates AGAIN.

At the very least, this show has the reason for WHY it turned out this way due to the virus, I just hope the writers can take what the can use and go with it.
With all the Cure Earth info revealed as well, now it's just left up to execution. Which I do have hopes the writers can find a way to deal with this.

I honestly hope they keep their themes. I think it would help kids a lot by telling their audience that they can overcome the virus going on. It would be a powerful & encouraging message in this season.

I've been fearing this series was going to be meddled with, now now that it's finally coming back I'm definitely wondering how they will go. Hopefully they can dispense with the filler episodes and make a season that is lean but not rushed.

For the record, there are 32 Sundays left before the start of next February (fortunately they had 52 weeks to work with this year). We know the Sunday between Christmas and New Years is off the table. So, at most this will be a 45 episode season (not too bad). Also, some of the weeks it was on hiatus would have been hiatus weeks for them anyway. And if there's not much in the way of sports, then they might not have to give up weeks they would have.

Though, that means they would essentially need to churn episodes out every week with no weeks off.

As for them doubling down, I don't see it. My experience is Japanese children's television is terrified of taking on real disasters (you'll never see a Pokemon use Earthquake in the series even though it is the commonly used move in competitive game).

This is such a good season when it comes to characters and atmosphere so far, so I hope changes will be minimal. Also, I wrote about it in my older comments - plot progression was already a bit slow and I'm curious if they regret that. There can be a big difference with pacing between those older episodes and new ones and it can feel weird.

I love to imagine that the Puppet idea wasn't originally the idea, with some of the Devs thinking this.

Toei Ex: Okay, Since the show is on a Hiatus.... We have come up with this as something to show till we thing of a Date to have the show run again.

*Sowing the Plushes in puppet form*

Story Board Artist: This is the best you could come up with?

Director: It's bad enough you want Our show to be stand alone like the others PreCure shows since you wanna Rip-Off the Final Fantasy Stand Alone Story ideas, Burt now you wanna fill in the Time-Slots with some Cheap-Ass puppet show?

Script writer: This year is nothing but a Disaster ever since Covid-19.

Animation Director: We'll play along with this... FOR NOW, But We the Team of the PreCure Anime know this won't last long.

I have to say, thanks to the pandemic, Happiness Charge is probably the Precure season you finished reviewing the quickest. I guess I give Omlette Rice thing but gonna skipped on the onions and ketchup. Anyway, see you all next week!
