If I`m right the lead guitar is playing by "Gary Moore" and he`s deeply missed too ! Thanks for sharing this wonderful song from a very great band ! Well, Phil was the bass player in addition to the lead singer so only guitar wouldn't work.
A Black Irish hard rocker gent broke all the rules back then. Greatly missed.
BTW the live version of this is exemplary.
They never lacked for ball busting guitarists.

Just to see you react and appreciate …. so cool & happy - thanks man❤. so i discovered this live on live & dangerous when it came out in 78 with the magnificent (best?) line up with Lynott, Downey and Robbo & Scott. There are multiple fabulous versions of this live as many have commented on below which really are Lizzy at their best. HOWEVER, this studio version, written and played by Gary Moore initially hs a different groove, feel and smoothness to it…. as you said a lot sweeter compared to the anguish of the live versions. Gary’s playing is exemplary. so yeah, you can understand how Sade picked up her soul
and feeling from this version. so cheers man for keeping Phil & Gary’s music alive and Thin Lizzy ❤
