Forza Horizon 2 - First hour of Gameplay (Introduction, first championship, content overview)

I recently bought myself not only a Nintendo Switch but also an Xbox One, since it was heavily discounted for Black Friday. This allows me to add 3 more racing games to my collection with Forza Horizon 2, Forza Motorsport 5 and Forza Motorsport 6. I will be getting and playing through all of them, so that I have them available for my future compilation videos. As you might know I already own every NFS game but I also want to own every Forza game, so that I can do some history videos about those as well. Here you can see my first hour of gameplay in Forza Horizon 2.

Like many people I never got to play FH2 when it first came out, so I was curious to see what it would be like and how different it would be from FH3 and FH4, which I have already played. It turns out that it is actually extremely similar to them. Pretty much everything from FH3 was already in FH2 in a very similar way as well. It looks like every Forza Horizon is really mostly the same game with just a different location (which is not necessarily a bad thing).

Forza Horizon 2 takes place in Southern Europe, around the border of France and Italy, with 3 French and 3 Italian towns on the map. As you can see at 56:10 there are 28 championships in each of the 6 locations (one for every vehicle category), which creates a total of 168 championships. However, based on 36:42 it seems like you only need to win 15 of them to finish the story.

I definitely won't be recording my full playthrough of the game, since it would probably become boring to watch rather soon. However, I might make some videos about the more interesting parts like the showcase and bucket list events or the longest race in the game. Feel free to let me know if there are any particular things that you are interested in.

Thankfully I was able to claim the game online before it was removed from the Microsoft store earlier this year, even though I didn't have the console yet at that time. I also bought the Storm Island expansion back then, so I might show some footage of that as well, so we can see how similar it is to Fortune Island in FH4.

Not only the graphics from all Forza Horizon games are different but you also notice the filters and the maps have different vibes. Stop comparing them. Each one is fantastic in its own ways.

I love Hospital Records tracks, though.
My favorite soundtrack was Language by Porter Robinson in OG Forza Horizon when the game start.

When this game came out, I played it so much that I started to believe that I lived there for real. That might sound weird to some people, but that’s how good this game really is.
