Irresistible Attraction - Static Electricity (Part 1)

We explore the basics of static electricity using a PVC tube, a wool cloth and some paper/aluminium foil. The phenomenon of attraction between the tube and paper/aluminium is explained. The irresistible attraction between opposite charges leads to some interesting experiments which will be explored in this series.

If you would like to follow along with this experiment you will need:
a PVC tube,
a cloth (wool works very well),
some little bits of paper,
and some little bits of foil.
