I've seen this. Its a thinking man's film. Not your average fast paced blockbuster that comes out at your local cinema every week. No big explosions or hollywood cliche bullshit. No one liners, and no recognizable actors. This film is shot in black and white, and you will have to read everything. But for those with the patience and open mindedness, you will not be disappointed. According to Rotten Tomatoes, 99% of critics gave this movie a positive review. Its a bit long, but worth your time. Unnerving and honest, had the fortune of seeing it on the big screen 6 years ago. To see the guide in youth and then old age is a mesmerising plot. The jungle still vivid in black and white - but somehow it distracts less from the stellar acting 👌. Fragility of both the explorer and the native. Watch it 😄

2/18/2016 I just saw Embrace of the Serpent tonight at the Writer's Guild Association theatre in Beverly Hills on Doheny. It was outstanding. They said it is opening next week at the Nuart Theatre in Los Angeles.
