Biden vows to increase support for veterans exposed to toxic burn pits; some vets are 'cautiously op

Last month on Veterans Day, the Biden administration announced a series of plans to help veterans who were exposed to toxic burn pits while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Burn pits were used as a way to eliminate waste like chemicals, ammunition, oil and other items the military needed to get rid of. Many veterans have described it as a burning hole of toxic waste.

Within weeks of coming home, veteran after veteran reported rapid health declines from debilitating headaches to breathing issues and cancer.

God Bless this man for continuing to push for benefits for those veterans that are still suffering from being exposed to these chemicals. My husband is a retired US marine and he suffers in other ways with horrific ptsd. We need to do more to support our men and women who have been affected by deployments However that may be. 🇺🇸

The most saddest part of the loss of my Own Sister is that you couldn't find it in your heart and lifetime to even (just say that you were sorry to your own baby sister. And you honestly have taken those secrets to your grave.... I only ever wanted you to be my big sister. But I am so glad you actually did help the other veterans that suffered the horrible, -&- horrific medical devastating health conditions, from the burn pits. And I'm so sorry for B. D. F. That this devastating ordeal happened on his BD. 😢 I just wished you had Let him keep in touch with his aunt and A. R. M. -&- C. E. M. I have missed them all in our lives and they have no idea wha that I have always been there for them. Because you chose to keep it a secret. 😢 I still love them very much and miss them desperately. And I can still tell them sweet and loving memory stories of when they were all very young. 😊😊 My heart honestly goes out to all of my nephews and my brother in law. J. P.
