Getting Your First Print With A Solidoodle - Getting Started Tutorial

How to get your first print with a Solidoodle 3D printer using Repetier Host software and Slic3r. The tutorial is a quick overview of the software. Installing filament, levelling the platform and connecting your printer will come in the next video.

Future videos will include more extensive coverage of 3D printing and I will show you how to get the most from your printer, along with different mods.

My Solidoodle 3 is reasonably load and you can hear it in the next room. I suggest making a case ( I think the expert model already comes with one) and possibly putting the printer in a cupboard of some sort if you have the space (take a look at the video in the description). That will get rid of most of the noise and fumes. PLA can be a bit more tricky to print with. Check out the guide for PLA printing in the description as well

i just bought solidoodle 4 but it extruder doesnt respond to my command please help

I was thinking of purchasing a solidoodle expert as my first 3d printer, but since I live in an apartment with a kid running around I was wondering how much noise it makes ( for night time jobs ), and did you try printing with Pla ( don't want the kid inhaling toxic Abs fumes ) ? Anyway thx for the helpfull video :)

how do i offset the bed I have a press and it starts printing above the bed at least 10mm
