Sebastian did great! At a high school US meet around 54 seconds would win most boys events and he's right there with it.

I didn't even realise Keely was in the video until near the end, she wasn't actually introduced! A slight oversight

I absolutely hate treadmills. I can't run on them. The ground doesn't move at a constant rate when you run. It adjusts to you. Whereas on a treadmill you're always at the wrong pace because you are going too fast when you push off the foot and too slow when you land your foot. Not by much but it puts me right off.

To run at 57 second 400m pace, for over 400m, is really impressive.

Keely is superhuman and and Olympic Silver medalist too. 25.2km/h is insane. Her personal best is 1m 54 I believe just a second behind the current world record.

Having Keely right there would make you so nervous.

Made me chuckle that the fella with the worst form performed the best...so arguably its the best form?

Matthew could make a good 400m runner and with training, 800m in a couple of years

I can't even think in that speed, let alone run it!

The thing is with an anaerobic effort like it is for all the people trying to match her pace, the difference between doing that pace for 30 seconds or even 1 minute and doing it for 2 minutes is huuuge. It is like going from being able to do something for 10 minutes to being able to do it for 3 or 4 hours.

Not now but I’m 73. I did run 1:56.9 on cinders though.

My 54 year old self can't keep up. My 18 year old self could have held on until the last 100m. But I was a 4:30 mile runner

I wonder how long Keely could keep up with Ben Pattinson, who just ran 1:42 last week. Probably 40-50seconds, given her 400m pb is 51.6 secs

My theory is if you want to be a champion athlete, focus mind over body. Don’t think about the pain. Think about getting to the finish line first and being the winner.

I think that in a fast race with pacers, with ideal weather conditions in a good day for her Kelly can run under 1:54:00. The world record maybe a bit too much, but it is time for the old WR to go. Maybe she can make it happened
