Indore (MP), Surat/ Rajkot (Gujarat): Major cities of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are under nigh curfew again to curb the spread of increasing COVID-19 cases in the states. Gujarat government has imposed complete night curfew in Ahmedabad from November 20 to November 23rd. The night curfew has been brought back in Rajkot, Surat and Vadodara between 9pm and 6am. The re-imposition of the night curfew is affective from November 21st. The Madhya Pradesh government has also announced imposition of night curfew across five cities. The curfew has been imposed from November 21 from 10 pm until 6 am the next morning. The five cities are Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Ratlam and Vidisha. Gujarat has 13,050 active cases and 3,837 deaths as on 21st November, whereas MP has 10,402 active cases and 3,138 deaths due to COVID-19 so far.

Implementing night curfew measures is a violation of human rights and freedom of going outside. This poses a negative impact to the democracy of India. Hope the local authorities will stop this policy which violates human rights!

India claims itself as the world largest democracy country, but its policies aren’t doing for the people, some of my Indian friends in Hong Kong told me that they don’t have human rights in India, so they moved to Hong Kong and embrace the communist party of China...this is super embarrassing for the Indian government...
