"The audience should experience what it is like to come to a foreign country where they don't understand the language and many things about the culture seem strange to them." (Curt A. Roesler, Dramaturge)

The young protagonists who have been working together regularly on the participatory youth project NEULAND since January come from Syria, the Balkans and Africa, from Charlottenburg, Wedding, Prenzlauer Berg or Lichterfelde. The team of artists led by directors Martin G. Berger and Jonas Egloff is explicitly not interested in exhibiting refugees and the history of flight against the backdrop of the people living here, but rather in exploring the question of what a completely new society could look like: NEULAND is a vision, a utopia.

An essential element of NEULAND is that the audience itself will be the strangers, the newcomers who have to find their way in a completely different, incomprehensible world. It is the country of Blomagal, where the national language Blabla Blomagal is spoken, which has its own flag, its own cultural symbols and even a national dish.
