The farlands are pretty strange and mysterious but what other weird things happen to your world as you go further and further out, even into the billions of blocks, and why do the farlands actually generate in the firstplace? And of course, how far can you go in minecraft? ALSO, i know videos like this are right up antvenom's ally, this is kinda a one time thing on the farlands with the next video being something completely different. But I will give credit as the minecraft wiki and his videos are my two primary sources of research... So go subscribe to AntVenom if you aren't!

imagine if they intentionally re-added the far lands as a biome with intentional bugs that will not crash your game

Fun fact: In bedrock edition, if you use a command in a super flat world to teleport you blocks away, the entire world literally breaks, all the blocks look flattened and there’s 1 block gaps between long lines.

edit 3 years later how tf are people still interacting with this comment dude😭

Java: things break down millions of millions of blocks away.
Bedrock: don't go past 4 million, OK?

I use bedrock edition where the Farlands still exist and I actually went there and it is way worse than in Java, you actually can't even move unless you are sprinting and those other generations occur much closer as well, I even once teleported to what you could consider the striped lands and if I teleported any farther it was just an endless void where I couldn't move at all.
