Fuel Distributor Rebuild

Did Mike’s cheap Benz survive the fire? Will a rebuilt fuel distributow save the day and get this car started??

Uh, yeah Mike. You're doing this on your stove in your You're funny. I love it. Been there, done that. Rebuilt a 302 Ford engine in a bedroom of a second floor apartment.

Mike's using my usual work benches, which you get to when your single and there is a new dog in a crate behind him. Nope it's Miss Lola who's been refurbished and looking wonderful. I'd put money on it running and this is a cliff hanger or Randy has to wait for the insurance money to rebuild the shop after the fire. Fun video as always. Thank you.

Check the pressure at the warm up regulator. It controls the richness of the mixture. I've worked on countless Porsches, BMWs, Volvos and Audis running the old Bosch K jet. I always start with checking the system pressure and control pressure!

Heyyyy Mike, pleaseeee do that 3 item check list they do, like check the Air, the Spark and the fuel to see which area needs fixing? Take a plug out, put the boot on and turn the key to see if it sparks. When you lift the fuel distribution system does it spray fuel in that big throttle body unit? 🤔 I want this car to start so

If it did start, I would give you an A+! Most of the time, the fuel distributor rebuild is not successful. It takes a major rebuilder to successfully rebuild them. Many MB, BMW, and Rolls Royce/Bentley owners use
CIS Flowtech in Alabama .

Using a flammable liquid in a ultrasonic is not always good practice. Ultrasonic cleaners prefer being filled to top level or it can damage transducers.

Maybe its to lean, try adjusting the mixture screw

Lola does look good. We do the same haircut to our 16 year old toy poodle. Just shave him completely. We try to hold out for the summer cause winter it is better to have him with long hair to keep him warm
