As a Swede, ofc gutted that we missed the Euro's, but in Sweden having lived through a 4-4-2 shut-down-football for a decade. I lot of us Swedish fans are starving for that all-out-offensive-football. The hope is that with JDT as the new coach and Isak, Kulu, Gyökeres and Elanga as offensive star power, we see more 3-3 matches than 0-0.

I think that point at the end about Spain's DNA is an important one, that has been generally missed from the discussions after the final.

If Real Madrid had beaten Arsenal in the final of the Champions League, everyone would be talking about how heritage has won out, surely that's the case with Spain vs England? Culturally, fundamentally, Spain are a better footballing nation than England.

If the fact the Spanish team (national and domestic) have won the last 23 finals against non-Spanish teams doesn't prove heritage, I don't know what does. Southgate, Ashworth and the FA have done great work to get us to the point where we are actually winning finals, but maybe we need a different, (sorry Jim) possibly non-English manager to get us over the line.

Would love to see some content about what you saw in the Portugal squad and where you think it went wrong for them. Was surprised that you were so adamant about them considering they had what I felt were clear holes in their squad.

3:25 The Spanish equivalent is actually Los Bangos Bangos

I think the diffence is, that before, even if a team were more defensive, they always had an electric player, that could make the match interesting to watch.

Got to say, I never hear of this channel before but its a pleasure listening this guy. I am Spanish, British and Australian (yep, three nationalitites :)) So I was going to win the final regardless.

Great video and great coverage throughout the tournament.
As a neutral, I think it was the correct result. England was so difficult to enjoy.
As a Spurs fan, it felt like I was back in Mohrino or the late Conte seasons.

Hopefully, this result will motivate England to embrace the game's beauty instead of tolerating turgid football.

James, I'm pretty sure bullish as an adjective means enthusiastic and excited rather than anticipating a poor performance.

6:27 i dont rhink its a must. But the net result of having a go and losing a semi final to a good team is the same as scraping a final and losing anyway. Id rather the former because at least we can say we gave it our best shot. I dont feel like England can say that this year.

I was 2 minutes away in Englands semi from my prediction of Spain win over the Netherlands lol
Glad Spain won they deserved it the whole tournament.

I think that pre tournament, nothing less than a final is the only thing the press and public would accept for England. Given the knockout draw, this opinion was cemented, and that's how it's played out. A semi final exit would've ended Southgate's time. Now it's his choice.
