Gurkha are one of the best units I've worked with

never underestimate the gurkha's. they are tough s.o.b.'s and then some. fierce & ferocious soldiers

For 200 years Gurkhas fought and died for the British crown. And yet they are still not considered British citizens.

They can go to the British Isles and live there with a visa, but to vote as a British, they need to transfer to the British army and serve another 5 years before they will be allowed to initially apply for settlement and then naturalization. Only then can they apply for Citizenship IF they meet the other main requirements.

That is how grateful the British are for the Gurkhas.

The Nepalese are beasts, the selection process in Nepal to even train in the uk as a gurkha is insane

My grandads most prized possession was a kukri knife a Ghurka gave him for helping carry a stretcher for a wounded Ghurka during WWII.
