Just met George Church at a talk. Phenomenal scientist. This isn't just hype for a show, he really is an incredible scientist.

wish people could learn the difference. I have lots of friends that have been killed in accidents, most of them under 40 years old.

This guy is thoroughly unimpressed with Stephen making jokes of his research lol.

it's so sad that that the smartest species on Earth, and possibly in the universe gets diseases, and dies in their 60's, 70's, or 80's and is gone forever, that's not nearly enough time to complete our goals, why haven't we figured out to defeat the biological clock yet? hopefully we will soon, a lot of progress has been made by Dr. George Church, and others, but nobody truly knows WHEN therapies will be available, and IF it will radically extend lifespan, not only healthspan.

That couldve been a great interview. Poor guy couldnt say what he obviously wanted to past the stream of yawn grade 'Colbert pretends to be dumb' jokes. Dont mind keeping at light but not at the expense of the interview.

George Church also did a TED Talk a few years after this interview.

This was 8 years ago imagine where the research is at now. I wish they actually talked more about his research

Is there more of this interview? it seems like this is just a short clip of a longer interview. The subject matter is interesting as fuck and I think we deserve more.

I am surprised that I will be 83 in April. I can't afford living so long..

This must have been such a good show. Killer Mike, George Church, and Foals. That's a dream come true.

Such a stupid segment. Church does not belong on a Late Night Talk show designed for laughter. This was utterly the wrong venue for him. Shame on whoever sold him on the idea to appear.

I heard Recently Jack Horner (Paleontologist & Jurassic Park Movie Adviser) is working on creating a Dino Chicken in Real life at his lab and Research Center at The Museum of the Rockies in MT. Steven should have him on soon because he is getting close.

Reverse aging? Young people under 30 die without reason.

Church does not like funnyman making funny of his attempts at immortality. He's probably thinking, "You're going to die".

Why does the description say "George Church has cracked the genome?" Wasn't the human genome project finished in the 2000s...

DNA -- does make life ---- WE HAVE A LIFE FORCE -- what is that? DNA doesn't tell you.
